Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Las Vegas is hiring a Meat Clerk to provide high-level customer service, handle meat preparation, and ensure safe food handling in a fast-paced store environment.

You will receive, store, and grind meats; rotate stock; assist customers with questions and special orders; keep work area clean and in line with department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable and reliable with ability to perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor; positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• General housekeeping and sanitation responsibilities in the department.
• Adherence to safety, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours and up to 8 hours per shift.
• Able to lift/carry 25–90 lbs. and move pallets up to 500 lbs.
• Able to operate a pallet jack and move racks and tables as needed.
• Vision required for using knives, band saw, grinder, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries from trucks.
• Count and weigh incoming articles and verify against invoices.
• Rotate meats to prevent aging and ensure freshness.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and assist with questions and special orders.
• Follow department programs like Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4.
