Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our team. You will deliver friendly customer service and help customers make healthy choices in a fast-paced, fresh-food environment.

You will receive, store, and grind meats; weigh items; rotate stock; and keep the department clean while following safety guidelines. The job requires lifting up to 90 lbs and working a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that changes including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Follow safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously; walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Able to work in a temperature-controlled area and perform general housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service and assist customers with questions and special orders.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries and rotate stock to avoid aging.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the Meat Department and follow program guidelines.
