Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Florida is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, fresh-food environment. You will engage with customers, provide product knowledge, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; rotating stock to prevent aging; answering questions and fulfilling special orders; and adhering to procedures such as Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 while working flexible

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Stand for up to 4 hours; up to 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours.
• Lift/carry products 25–90 lbs.; operate pallet jack up to 500 lbs.; move racks and tables as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and safe food handling.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries; weigh items and verify against invoices.
• Rotate meats to prevent aging and ensure freshness.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders; explain product locations.
• Follow the Meat Department procedures; adhere to Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.
