Job summary

Hy-Vee Meat Service Clerk provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, and handles trimming, wrapping, stocking and receiving merchandise in the Meat and Seafood Department. You’ll be part of a team ensuring product freshness and appealing displays in a fast-paced grocery setting.

The role emphasizes greeting customers, helping locate items, wrapping and weighing meat, maintaining sanitation, and rotating stock, requiring reliability and clear communication while handling lifting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Food safety training or certification preferred.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood area.
• Greets customers and assists with finding products and answering questions.
• Wraps, weighs, and labels products to ensure accurate displays.
• Maintains sanitation and restocks cases to keep products fresh.
• Works with team to ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
