Job summary

Hy-Vee Meat Clerk seeks a customer-focused team member to provide friendly service in the Meat and Seafood Department. You will wrap, trim, stock, and receive merchandise while maintaining sanitation and product quality.

You will greet customers, assist with product selection, and help ensure a fast, accurate checkout and display experience. This role is Non-Exempt and supports store operations with a strong service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience, food safety training.
• Six months or less of similar or related work.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and handle equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department.
• Wraps, weighs, and labels products for display and sale.
• Stockes cases, rotates product, and maintains cleanliness and sanitation.
• Assists customers by guiding to products, answering questions, and processing orders.
• Works with team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant store environment.
