Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a meat/seafood department team member to provide excellent guest service and to prepare knife-ready products for sale. You will assist in product receiving, inventory, and stock rotation while maintaining safety, sanitation, and product freshness in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong selling and interpersonal skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and the stamina to stand for extended periods in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and effective selling skills.
• Ability to interact with guests and sell products.
• Outgoing personality and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and interact with them in the meat/seafood department.
• Prepare knife-ready meat/seafood products (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh and price).
• Assist with product receiving, inventory and storage.
• Price, stock and rotate frozen and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers and sales floor.
• Ensure products are in date and of high quality and freshness.
• Communicate shrink issues to management and guests' requests to management.
• Make PA announcements for meat/seafood items and promotions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
