Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a friendly Meat & Seafood Department Associate to provide excellent guest service while handling department activities. You will apply selling skills and merchandising practices to engage guests and help maximize department sales.

You will prepare knife-ready products, stock and rotate items, and maintain safety and sanitation standards in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and the sales floor. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and selling skills with an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others and interact with guests.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests politely and create a selling environment.
• Prepare knife-ready products (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, price).
• Assist in receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Price, stock, and rotate meat/seafood items.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Communicate shrink issues to management.
• Make PA announcements for meat/seafood sales and promotions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
