Job summary

Greco and Sons, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks a sales professional to drive a defined plan, grow accounts, and promote products to foodservice clients.

You will build relationships, conduct in-person visits, take orders, and work with inside sales to ensure accurate pricing and timely order processing while maximizing gross profit.

The role requires knowledge of meat/seafood, consultative selling, and strong time management skills to meet customer needs and company goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Preferred: 4-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, agriculture/animal science or related studies.
• 2-year prior food service and/or sales background strongly preferred.
• Consultative sales ability with strong customer relations.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for Greco's products and services.
• Make in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Taking customer orders with Greco's goals in mind: sales and GP/Stop maximization.
• Coordinate input of orders with inside sales partners and keep pricing accurate.
• Respond promptly to customer problems and needs, and manage day-to-day issues.
• Review stock levels, shortages, and transportation issues and implement quick solutions.
• Analyze daily/weekly sales and margin reports for improvement opportunities.
• Keep informed on product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, and trends.
