Sysco Specialty Meat Group in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a detail‑oriented FSQA auditor to implement and evaluate raw material audit programs, ensuring products meet specifications. The role requires hands‑on assessment of color, size, defects, and conformance with supplier and governmental standards.

You will submit claims to suppliers, track resolutions, and assist in FSQA training, while collaborating with Operations, Sales, and Merchandising to protect brand quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent education; some post‑secondary education preferred.
• 1–3 years meat/seafood industry experience at a federal CFIA/FDA meat/seafood processing plant (as appropriate).
• Knowledge of meat, poultry and/or seafood products including product specifications.
• Experience as a Quality Assurance or Quality Control Technician in a meat or seafood processing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess quality attributes (color, size, defects, mispacks) of raw materials against supplier/government specs.
• Submit claims to suppliers using email and electronic monitoring systems for nonconforming products.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely claim resolution and payment.
• Assist in FSQA program training, policies, and procedures for raw material auditing.
• Collaborate with FSQA, Merchandising and Accounting to ensure claims are paid and records updated.
