Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc is seeking a Meat and Seafood Manager to lead the department, manage inventory and pricing integrity, and drive operational excellence. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.

The position offers a competitive hourly pay range and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K matching, and wage access options. Availability includes weekends, days, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, meat cutting and/or culinary experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service.
• Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of the department’s prime and premium meat and seafood products, and items for our convenient meal solutions throughout the day, while also managing quality product levels as indicated within TFMA standards.
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests.
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage.
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of specialty meat, seafood, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job as well as through internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner.
• Ensure the training and certification of all Assistant Meat Managers and Meat Cutters.
