Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to represent the Co-op in a positive manner.
• Two plus years and knowledge of local growers and product.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in use of computer software, Office 365, Excel and Word.
• Proficiency in ECRS POS system and processes.
• Serve Safe certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months.
• Excellent follow through.

Responsibilities

• Stays within the annual budget for Meat/Seafood Department in coordination with the Store Manager.
• Orchestrates the daily functions of the Meat/Seafood Department.
• Responsible for Meat/Seafood inventory, ordering and vendor relations.
• Responsible for stocking and merchandising all department areas.
• Works with Store Manager to ensure proper signage and clean, attractive displays and cases.
• Conducts or oversees regular meetings and huddles with Meat/Seafood Department.
• Works with the Store Manager on implementing merchandising strategies including weekly specials, demos, sampling events, and special promotions.
• Maintains Meat/Seafood Department sanitation procedures and ensures compliance with governmental regulations.
