Job summary

Hannaford in South Portland, ME is seeking a Meat/Seafood Department lead to supervise operations in the absence of managers and uphold safety, quality and customer service standards.

You will train associates, manage inventory, and ensure sanitation while using store systems to plan and schedule tasks. Meat cutter experience is preferred and strong communication and teamwork are required.

• Lead department operations in the absence of managers following standard practices.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Utilize store systems for planning, scheduling, CAO and RF duties.
• Treat coworkers with fairness, dignity and respect.
• Meet or exceed Management Planning guidelines.
• Develop product knowledge in meat/seafood and cooking procedures.
• Assist in training other associates when assigned.
• Maintain neat personal appearance and comply with appearance policy.
• Maintain solid department communication.
• Support safety standards and report needed repairs or hazards.
• Observe sanitation and food safety standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
