Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• Possess adequate knife handling skills and knife speed.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cutting, traying, wrapping, and labeling.
• Seafood experience.
• Retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions for the Meat/Seafood department.
• Support the day-to-day functions of the Meat/Seafood operations.
• Ensure proper temperatures and food safety compliance.
• Train and develop associates and manage performance.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory and stock.
• Create and execute department business plans and promotions.
