Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a capable supervisor for the Meat/Seafood Department. The role will support the Meat/Seafood Manager in directing and evaluating staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and laws, and delivering strong customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic English reading/writing skills, and be willing to participate in training. Prior familiarity with inventory and office software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Able to read/understand simple instructions and write basic correspondence in English
• Willing to participate in required training and work with team to improve customer satisfaction and sales
• Knowledge of HT Internet software, email, inventory systems, spreadsheets, and word processing

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and supervising up to 15 associates in Meat/Seafood
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign and direct work
• Assist in performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as needed
• Address complaints and resolve problems
• Ensure adherence to Harris Teeter policies and applicable laws
