Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat & Seafood Manager to lead the department's sales and operations, including cutting, ordering, and inventory management. The role requires strong leadership, coaching capability, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The position demands the ability to manage schedules, mentor staff, and ensure product quality while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Minimum of 2 years meat cutting experience in grocery or restaurant industry including leadership experience.
• Able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, and prepare cutting lists; process meat to meet department goals and standards.
• Ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise.
• Coach and develop team members; participate in bi-annual performance reviews and promotions.
• Lead in-store meetings and collaborate with Store Manager on hiring and transfers.
• Address team concerns with independent judgment and document corrective actions when needed.
• Create and adjust schedules to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Communicate standards, policy changes, and product knowledge to the team.
