Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Sedona seeks an experienced retail leader to drive daily operations, profitability, and team development. You will hire, develop, and mentor Team Members while ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance, and health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include managing sales, margins, labor, and inventory, while aligning with regional guidelines and store programs. A focus on teamwork and effective communication supports the store’s goals.

Qualifications

• 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
• Food safety certification, if not already held, to be completed within 6 months.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team-building and customer-relationship skills.
• Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
• Thorough product knowledge and understanding of regulatory/safety policies.
• Proficient with email, Microsoft Office and operations-related applications.

Responsibilities

• Holds ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Defines and develops clear expectations to achieve high standards of retail execution.
• Effectively delegates to and empowers ATLs and Team Members.
• Accountable for monitoring and achieving sales, margin, expense, and labor targets.
• Maintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Ensures products are cross-merchandised per regional/global guidelines.
• Ensures adherence to category management schedule and planograms.
• Ensures nutritional aspects are displayed correctly.
• Establishes collaborative working relationships with leadership.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory rules and safety standards.
• Sets and achieves top retail execution standards.
• Fosters a high-performance, respectful team environment.
• Communicates and models Whole Foods Market vision and goals.
• Responds to customer needs and questions promptly.
• Trains, mentors, and counsels Team Members to minimize turnover.
