Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; related meat industry experience preferred.
• Experience in meat cutting and knowledge of seafood/meat products is desirable.
• Basic math for weights, prices and inventories is required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote morale and maintain professional communication across the department.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve sales.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines in the meat department.
• Learn proper receiving, pricing, refrigeration and inventory procedures.
• Identify, cut and merchandise meat and seafood products per standards.
• Assist with ordering and inventory as directed by the Meat Manager.
