Job summary

Ridleys-Family-Markets-Inc is seeking a Meat Cutter/Fishmonger to join our team. You will perform cut preparation, handling and merchandising of meat and seafood products, while delivering friendly service to guests.

Experience in meat cutting is preferred; basic computer skills and familiarity with safety standards are required. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to company policies to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or related experience in the seafood and meat industry.
• Experience as a meat cutter preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve sales storewide.
• Learn and demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to all company and governmental standards for the meat department.
• Possess ability to identify, cut, process, rotate, and merchandise meat products per company standards.
• Capable of handling, gutting, boning, filleting, rotating and merchandising seafood products as needed.
• Learn to properly file, rotate, and merchandise products in display cases and coolers.
