Job summary

Ridley's Family Markets, Inc. is seeking a Meat Cutter/Fishmonger in Eagle Mountain, UT to join our fresh foods team. You will cut, fillet and merchandise meat and seafood, answer guest questions and maintain product displays.

The job requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 90 pounds, basic math and computer skills, and compliance with safety and company policies. Prior meat cutting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or related experience in seafood/meat industry.
• Experience as a meat cutter preferred.
• Pallet jack operation may be required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly but professional communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve sales storewide.
• Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
• Learn and adhere to all company and governmental standards for meat/seafood handling and pricing procedures.
• Respond to guest questions about ingredients and preparation of meat and seafood products.
• Learn to order and manage inventories as directed by the Meat Manager.
• Identify, cut, process, rotate, and merchandise meat products per company standards.
• Function as a Fishmonger as needed, including preparation of seafood products.
• File, rotate and merchandise products in displays and coolers.
