Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or related experience in seafood/meat industry.
• Experience as a meat cutter is preferred.
• Pallet jack operation may be required.
• Basic computer skills are required to operate POS and inventory systems.
• Strong math skills for pricing, weighing and transactions.

• Maintain good relationships with other department managers to improve sales storewide.

• Follow regulatory standards for meat dept receiving, invoices, refrigeration, pricing and temperatures.
• Learn about meat, fish and seafood products and answer guests' questions.
• May assist with ordering and inventory of products and supplies as directed by the Meat Manager.
• Learn to identify, cut, process, rotate and merchandise meat products per company standards.
• May be capable of handling, gutting, boning, filleting, rotating seafood products as needed.
• Properly file, rotate and merchandise products in display cases and coolers.
