Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in a fast-paced department. You will receive, store, and grind meats, rotate stock, and assist customers with questions and special orders.

You also rotate stock to avoid aging and keep the area clean, following Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs. This role requires standing long hours, lifting heavy items, and flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Stand for up to 4 hours at a time and lift 25–90 lbs as needed.
• Follow safety, weights and measures regulations and department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service in the meat department and assist with questions and special orders.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries from the truck and rotate stock to avoid aging.
• Maintain product knowledge and preparation techniques; follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs.
• Assist customers with locating items and executing departmental tasks safely and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation guidelines in a fast-paced environment.
