Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You will receive, store, and grind meats, assist customers with questions and special orders, and uphold Safe Food Handling, Clean as You Go, and Fresh at 4 programs.

The role requires standing up to 4 hours at a time, lifting up to 90 lbs., and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours and lift/carry up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service and product knowledge.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries and transport items.
• Rotate meats to avoid aging and follow 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following department guidelines.
