Job summary

Harris Teeter in Virginia Beach is seeking a full-time Meat Clerk to process, package, and stock meat products according to Meat Standards, clean work areas, and provide excellent customer service while unloading stock. When needed, duties may include seafood clerk tasks.

The position requires at least 18 years of age, basic English reading/writing, and simple math for handling money and weights. Training will be provided, and benefits follow eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to work with US currency and weight measurements.
• Complete company training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Processing/packaging/stocking meat products according to Meat Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service unloading stock, and reloading salvage.
• Perform duties of seafood clerk when assigned.
