Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you will work in one of our most popular departments. Your duties include providing high-level customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge and preparation skills. Responsibilities involve receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards according to departmental procedures. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; basic math skills required.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform related duties.
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and good customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, able to follow directions, and work well in a team.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Able to work in temperature-controlled environments and perform housekeeping duties.
• Good vision for handling sharp tools and machinery.
• Able to lift and carry products weighing 25-90 lbs., and operate equipment like pallet jacks.

Pay Range

The pay range is $16.70 - $22.55/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
