Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The associate will be responsible for:

1. Maintaining well-stocked and attractive meat department cases, greeting customers, providing product suggestions, answering questions, taking future orders, and resolving customer concerns courteously.
2. Setting up displays, rotating products, ensuring freshness, proper pricing, and signage; handling spoiled or damaged products according to company standards.
3. Grinding and cutting meats and poultry as needed.
4. Weighing, wrapping, and labeling merchandise; maintaining logs for freshness and quality; following safety and sanitation standards; cleaning and maintaining work areas.
5. Minimizing shrinkage, reporting shortages or overages.
6. Assisting with receiving deliveries, unloading, and storage, including operation of equipment if trained.
7. Supporting department and store operations through teamwork and continuous performance improvement.
8. Utilizing all provided PPE properly.
9. Assisting in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
