Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a production operator at the Newbern, TN facility. You will set up equipment, operate machinery, and assist with removing heads and chiseling cheek bones as part of processing duties.

The role requires adherence to safety and food safety policies and company procedures. You will maintain a clean work area, monitor for debris, perform minor equipment maintenance, and stand on concrete for long periods in cold conditions. Shift: 1ST SHIFT.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 hours.
• Must perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours on concrete.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment in preparation for startup and operate machinery as needed.
• Remove heads from viscera pan and chiseling cheek bones inside and out.
• Monitor production area for trash and debris on the floor.
• Maintain clean work area and perform end-of-shift cleanup.
• Follow safety, food safety policies and company procedures.
