Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is seeking a production worker for 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 1:00 am). The role involves setting up equipment, maintaining the Douglas department with necessary supplies, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of the line.

Responsibilities include reading SKUs, weights and barcodes, verifying product schedules, and complying with safety and food safety policies. Prior warehouse/production experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 hours.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment in preparation for startup.
• Keep Douglas department supplied to run production and move finished product.
• Adhere to safety, food safety policies and company policies.
• Monitor production area for trash and debris on floor.
• Read SKU numbers, order numbers, box numbers, weights, GTIN labels, and barcodes; record information on product check sheets.
