Responsibilities

• Manage plant production and drive continual operational improvement of efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Coordinate with all departments to establish and carry out operational challenges.
• Direct, monitor and appraise performance of all areas reporting to you and provide direction on concerns.
• Maintain qualified personnel and recommend compensation for production staff.
• Participate in management team to develop business strategies and policy.
• Provide input on decision-making, review costs related to labor, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborate with customers, sales, and merchandising on product development and meat knowledge.
• Assist with customer and field sales inquiries to resolve problems.
• Provide analysis to president as requested.
• Approve major projects or personnel changes within production facility.
• Justify expenditures with expected benefits and pay-off time.
