Job summary

SpartanNash in Omaha, NE seeks a Meat Clerk/Associate to prep, package, and stock meat products for production and display. You’ll follow flight plans, label items, and assist in merchandising while maintaining safety and guest-experience standards.

Required: High School Diploma (GED) preferred, 1 year retail experience preferred, ability to read and follow instructions, basic math, and attention to detail. This is a physical, team-oriented role in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Meat Products to Production Planner
• Package and Label Meat Products per program plan
• Merchandise Meat Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations
• Stock Backroom with Meat Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
