Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is seeking a Warehouse Packer in Kalamazoo, MI to pack beef, pork, lamb, veal, and seafood accurately and in line with customer specifications. Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to work independently or within a team environment.
• Follows safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Packs products in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follows customer specifications and special instructions from work orders/cut tickets.
• Reads and comprehends customer instructions.
• Performs quality checks and communicates defects to supervisors.
• Inspects meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes.
• Distributes products to appropriate pack lines.
• Weighs meats and labels containers with weight and contents.
• Completes tasks to reduce processing costs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
