Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is seeking a Warehouse Packer in Kalamazoo, MI to pack beef, pork, lamb, veal, and seafood accurately and in line with customer specifications. The role emphasizes quality checks and following standard instructions, with opportunities for career advancement and a strong team culture.

Starting at $17.00 per hour, typical schedule is Monday–Friday from 8am until finish, with comprehensive benefits after 30 days of employment and pre-tax saving accounts.

Responsibilities

• Packs products in an accurate and timely manner.
• Follows customer specifications and special instructions from work orders/cut tickets.
• Reads and comprehends customer instructions.
• Performs quality checks and communicates defects to supervisors.
• Inspects meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes.
• Distributes products to appropriate pack lines.
• Weighs meats and labels containers with weight and contents.
• Completes tasks to reduce processing costs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
