Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a meat-packing associate to portion and box meat, seal and label products, and maintain packaging areas to GMP standards. Responsibilities include assembling boxes and labels, loading Cryovac sealers, and stacking finished cases on pallets.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to work in cold environments, and lifting up to 80 lbs. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday with overtime as needed; pay starts at $16.00/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1+ year in food service or food production.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 6 hours daily.
• Ability to work in cold environments such as refrigerated storage or meat facilities.
• Physicals: able to lift up to 80 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule and perform safety checks on equipment.
• Obtain supplies (boxes, labels, tape, bags, wrap) and prepare for operations.
• Assemble boxes, labels, and sealers; load meat into Cryovac sealer; pallet finished meat.
• Pack meat into cases, label and seal; stack on pallets.
• Maintain clean packaging area and adhere to safety/quality standards.
