Minimum Requirements:

  • Willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
  • Ability to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to handle stressful situations tactfully and calmly, making positive impressions on associates and customers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Meat work experience or similar food preparation experience.
  • Dependability and integrity in past work records.
  • Knowledge of employment practices, safety, and food handling laws and regulations.
  • Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, pre-fabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions per company policies.
  • Maintain accurate department temperature logs.
  • Stock and display meat items safely and according to standards.
  • Check product quality, ensure proper rotation, and freshness.
  • Keep department, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
  • Ensure carts, tools, and supplies are properly stored and organized.
  • Keep floors clean, safe, and clutter-free.
  • Provide excellent customer and associate relations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Unload trucks, sort orders, and store in proper cooler locations.
  • Sanitize equipment following company and health department policies.
  • Greet and assist customers cheerfully, providing quality foods.
  • Contribute to store sales and profits aligning with retail and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and promptness in all interactions.
  • Adhere to policies ensuring a harassment-free, respectful work environment.
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
