Perform general product preparation, clean-up, and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, prefabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions in accordance with company policies.
2. Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
3. Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
4. Check product quality; ensure proper rotation and freshness.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales areas, backrooms, coolers, carts, tools, and supplies.
6. Ensure floors are clean, safe, and free from clutter.
7. Provide good customer and associate relations, communicate effectively, and make a friendly impression on customers.
8. Unload trucks, sort orders, and place items in proper cooler locations.
9. Wash and sanitize equipment following company and health department policies.
10. Promptly and cheerfully wait on customers, greet them, and provide quality foods.
11. Contribute to increasing store sales and profits through retail operations and marketing programs.
12. Maintain professionalism, adhere to policies, and support a harassment-free work environment.
13. Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments, manage conflicts reasonably, and act with honesty and integrity.
14. Follow directions, seek assistance when needed, and support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
15. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
