Title: Meat Cutter

Classification: Non-Exempt

The Meat Cutter is responsible for various cuts of meats while adhering to safety guidelines and standards. They must use, clean, and sanitize equipment such as knives, band saws, grasselli slicers, and grinders safely. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the department, greeting customers with a smile, delivering excellent customer service, and responding to customer requests to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Enjoy working with the public.
• Good communication skills.
• Friendly, courteous attitude, and excellent customer service skills.
• Positive attitude towards safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to transfer to other locations within a reasonable commute.
• Ability to work in refrigerated coolers and around humidity for short periods.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
• 2 years of experience in a meat department.
• 2 years of experience with meat equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Basic understanding of English language.
