The Meat Cutter is responsible for breaking, cutting, and preparing meat products using hand tools and power equipment, following company standards for variety, size, quantity, and trim. The role involves preparing meat for display or customer orders, working with customers on special orders, and collaborating with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine cutting needs. The position requires the ability to perform very heavy lifting, as well as bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods.
The work environment is typical of a fast-paced grocery store. Essential physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory acuity.
