Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.
• In the absence of the department manager, manage the department operations in accordance with established department standard practices.
• Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance and comply with the appearance policy.
• Coach associates to meet service expectations and recognize great service.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Maintain communication with the department, store manager, and organization.
• Maintain department merchandising and layouts per company standards.
• Ensure proper pricing and coding is followed.
• Support safety standards and report equipment issues.
• Develop product knowledge in meat department and ensure training of meat associates.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation.
