Job summary

Homeland Store in Okemah, Oklahoma is seeking a Meat Market Manager to lead the meat department, drive sales and deliver high‑quality service in a fast‑paced environment. You will greet customers, supervise staff, and ensure product quality and freshness while supporting the store’s owner‑employee culture.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training new employees, planning displays, controlling inventory, pricing, safety compliance, and coordinating with the store manager on merchandising

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical ability and ability to count.
• Clear reading/writing in English for invoices, labels and reports.
• Ability to follow complex instructions from supervisors and adapt to store policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to questions/requests in a courteous manner.
• Supervise hiring, discipline, promotion and evaluation of Meat Department staff.
• Develop weekly labor schedules for Meat Department employees.
• Plan and execute weekly merchandising displays and promotions.
• Oversee inventory, case display, and space allocation for profitability.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety and proper operation of department equipment.
