Job summary

Homeland-Stores in Oklahoma City is seeking a Meat Sales Clerk to maximize sales through exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will help customers, identify meat cuts, stock displays, and ensure correct pricing and signage.

You will unload deliveries, maintain cold storage, monitor temperatures, and help keep the department clean and organized per safety procedures. Prior grocery experience is helpful; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical ability and accurate counting are required.
• Must be able to read and write in English for labels, invoices and orders.
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to follow directions.
• Prior experience in retail or meat department is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Move cases from truck to backroom and stocking areas as needed.
• Check case, cooler and freezer temperatures 3 times daily and log results.
• Assist unloading meat deliveries and stock display cases and pricing signage.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area following safety procedures.
• Identify meat cuts, assist customers and suggest products.
