Job summary

United Future is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to directly oversee a production line in the Fabrication Department, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while supervising 35+ employees. The role emphasizes leadership, coaching and collaboration with the Fabrication Superintendent and management to meet line goals.

Responsibilities include throughput planning, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and accurate daily reporting.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking is required.
• Proficient Microsoft Office usage.
• 1–2 years of direct supervisory experience.
• At least two years in meat fabrication or slaughter operations.
• Good knowledge of production operations, food safety, yields, USDA regulations.
• Basic OSHA knowledge.
• Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to employees through effective communication, coaching and development.
• Lead the departmental leadership team and support Fabrication Superintendent/Manager.
• Manage employee performance through training, development and discipline.
• Facilitate workflow management and staffing to achieve line goals.
• Use problem solving, teamwork, process control and continuous improvement tools.
• Plan and monitor throughput and efficiencies for the line and act on improvements.
• Maintain safety standards as required by law and company policy.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, EPA, OSHA and other regulators.
• Fill out daily production reports (time sheets, efficiency reports, etc.).
