Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, train and direct Meat department associates; manage production and customer service to maximize store sales and profits.
• Develop maximum customer relations through friendliness and courtesy and enforce company policies.
• Keep temperature logs updated; train staff on proper temperature recording.
• Perform and direct pricing and merchandising; ensure signage, rotation, freshness and space allocation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop Meat department employees; emphasize customer courtesy and productivity.
• Implement company programs and adhere to policies, ensuring harassment/discrimination free environment.
• Make recommendations on hiring, firing, discipline, transfers and evaluations.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to directors.
• Manage workloads and supervise direct reports; conduct performance reviews and feedback.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a professional manner; act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
