Job summary

Lowes Foods in Hanahan, SC is seeking a Bench Department Manager for the Meat Department to lead daily operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will supervise staff, plan schedules, and execute merchandising and pricing to maximize sales.

The role requires 3-4 years in supermarket operations and a high school education, with a starting pay of $25 per hour. You’ll train associates and uphold food safety and company standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 3-4 years of progressive supermarket experience.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.
• Knowledge of meat department operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the meat department.
• Achieve budgeted financial results and manage department scheduling.
• Prepare products for sale according to standards (cut, wrap, weigh, price).
• Maintain in-stock conditions and coordinate weekly pricing and flyers.
• Train staff, develop bench talent, and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards and ALI audits.
