Northgate Gonzalez Market in Santa Ana is seeking an experienced Meat Department Leader to train associates, maintain high standards, and drive outstanding customer service. You will recruit, coach, and develop team members, set clear performance expectations, and collaborate with store leadership to meet goals.

The role requires at least one year in meat department operations, a Meat Cutter Certification, and a Food Handlers Certificate, with relocation within 20 miles if needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of meat department operations experience.
• Relocation within 20 miles may be required.
• Meat Cutter Certification and Food Handlers Certification.
• Safety leadership training is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Train associates in the store's method and ensure consistent performance.
• Maintain a positive work environment with fair and consistent treatment of all associates.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct timely evaluations and proper compensation.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure correct PLU usage and communicate price discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Maintain inventory control to maximize sales and keep profitability.
• Oversee meat cuts, display, and vendor relationships and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
