Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc is seeking a Meat Clerk to provide prompt, friendly service in the Meat and Seafood Department. You will wrap, weigh, stock cases, and assist customers while maintaining high sanitation and product quality.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include greeting customers, guiding them to products, and ensuring fresh, properly labeled items.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or experience substituted.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Food safety training or certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood dept.
• Wrap, weigh, label, and stock products; rotate for freshness.
• Assist customers by guiding to products and answering questions.
• Maintain sanitation and organized display cases in department.
• Load/unload merchandise and ensure proper handling and safety.
• Greet customers and work with team to ensure satisfaction.
• Report stock needs and out-of-stock items to appropriate personnel.
