Job summary

Hy-Vee’s Meat Department is seeking a part-time Meat Clerk to provide prompt, friendly service, wrap, trim, stock cases, and receive merchandise in the Meat and Seafood areas. You will greet customers, help locate products, ensure freshness, and maintain clean, organized displays in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compliance with food safety practices, and adherence to store policies while supporting daily department operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required; food safety training preferred.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood departments.
• Wraps, trims, stocks cases and assists in receiving merchandise.
• Assists customers by locating products and answering questions.
• Maintains sanitation and organization of display cases and work area.
• Reports out-of-stock items and helps with departments as needed.
