Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to provide friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood departments. You will wrap, trim, stock cases, and assist customers with product location and requests.

Responsibilities include maintaining department cleanliness, rotating stock, weighing and labeling products, and ensuring quality through proper sanitation practices. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with food safety training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required; food safety training preferred.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to handle fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service to shoppers.
• Wrap, weigh, and label products; stock and rotate cases as needed.
• Assist customers, escort them to products and respond to requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department per guidelines.
• Operate department equipment safely and report out-of-stock items.
