Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Cary, NC is seeking an entry-level Meat Team Member to support the counter, stock shelves, and maintain sanitation. You will ensure courteous service while upholding health regulations and store SOPs across the department.

Responsibilities include display maintenance, back stock, sampling program support, cleaning, and assisting customers with product knowledge and suggestive selling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for 6–8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends trainings/meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment per WFM standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store/leadership.
