Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Team Member to support the meat department with counter service, stocking, and sanitation. You will help maintain fresh displays, assist customers, and follow safety and quality standards.

No prior retail experience required; training provided. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Strong teamwork and customer service are encouraged.

• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.

• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fresh, appealing displays; check quality; stock cases and shelves; rotate and remove outdated products.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist sampling program; keep samples full and clean.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, and equipment.
• Arrive on time and prepared; attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs.
• Maximize sales through prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work/shopping environment.
• Perform opening/mid/closing duties; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
