Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a team member to support the meat department with counter service, stocking, and sanitation. This entry-level role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and adherence to health and safety standards.

You will assist with display, inventory, customer assistance, and basic product knowledge while upholding WFM core values and store procedures across shifts, including opening and closing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a fresh, appealing display by keeping cases and shelves stocked and clean.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and keep areas tidy.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors, and drains as required.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready to work; complete shifts and trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer needs promptly, and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales through proper stocking, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures for weights, measures, health, sanitation, and safety.
• Keep working and shopping areas clean and sanitary; maintain equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards or violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
