Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Meat Department Manager for our Worcester, MA location. Lead daily Meat Department operations to ensure service, quality, and profitability while upholding food safety and merchandising standards.

You will train and coach associates, plan production, manage inventory, and coordinate promotions in a fast-paced retail environment. The role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and meticulous execution, with a focus on consistent product quality and regulatory

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Meat Department operations to meet service, quality, and financial expectations
• Maintain a professional, customer‑focused environment and respond to inquiries and special orders
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities including preparation, packaging, stocking, and merchandising
• Ensure displays are stocked, rotated, labelled, and maintained to company standards
• Implement promotions and seasonal programs as scheduled
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation and temperature regulations
• Review production results and adjust activities to support yield and profitability
• Manage ordering, inventory, shrink, reclamation, and departmental expenses
• Schedule, train, coach, and supervise associates for coverage and performance
• Complete and maintain required documentation including logs, reports, and audits
• Travel requirements: None
• Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance
